At SurplusForGood, we are dedicated to transforming surplus food into a force for good. By redistributing edible food that would otherwise go to waste, we aim to alleviate food insecurity, support communities in need, and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Our mission…

Our mission is simple yet impactful: to recover surplus food from various sectors—including agriculture, manufacturing, and retail—and redistribute it to communities facing food insecurity. Through partnerships with local charities, food banks, and community organisations, we ensure that quality food reaches those who need it most.

| HOW WE OPERATE

Food Recovery: We collaborate with food manufacturers and retailers to collect surplus food that is safe for consumption but may not meet commercial standards.

Sorting and Storage: Collected food is sorted, packaged, and stored in compliance with food safety regulations to maintain its quality.
Distribution: Partnering with a network of over 350 organisations, we distribute food to schools, shelters, community centres, and other local initiatives.
Community Engagement: We engage with communities to raise awareness about food waste, nutrition, and sustainable practices.
